Facebook’s convoluted system makes customizing the URL username link to your small business’ Facebook page something of a hassle. Basically, you can make your business’ Facebook page accessible directly from the link www.Facebook.com/YOURBUSINESS. It can be a big help to customers trying to find your site and makes it easier for you to link potential customers to your Facebook presence.
Before you begin, have in mind the words you would like to use as your custom Facebook page username. Make a list of alternatives just in case your choice is not available. You can only change the name once and it cannot contain punctuation besides periods or spaces. And you must be an “administrator” of any page you wish to customize.
There is one catch: you can only customize the URL for your fan page once it has at least 25 fans. So, as soon as you create your fan page, get all your family, friends and employees to “like” you and then follow these six easy steps:
1) Log in to your Facebook account.
2) Type in http://www.facebook.com/username in order to begin the process of selection your customized username.
3) At the bottom of the screen, click the link to customize the username of any Facebook Pages you administer (note that you can create a custom URL for your personal profile too. It can be really fun).

4) Click the page you would like the customize the URL of, then click more to bring up a field to type in the username of your choice.
5) Click “Check Availability” to find out whether your username is available.
6) If your selected username is available, click ‘Confirm’ to complete the process. Otherwise, try another username.
Voila! Users can now reach your Facebook page simply with your new username. Stay tuned to Zebworks for more tips on how to tweak and customize your business’ social marketing techniques!
